What is PDU?

PDU stands for Power Distribution Unit, which is also known as Distribution unit for cabinet.  

A PDU is a device fitted with multiple outputs designed to distribute electric power, especially to racks of computers and networking equipment located within a data center.

Interface compatibility

The standard socket hole module for different countries can satisfy different needs of multi-purpose output socket and IEC output socket of multinational customers, and it is suitable for the plug of different imported instruments and equipment in many countries（Plug standards vary from country to country, please check before purchase)

International standard rack mount

It was convenient to be installed in a 19-inch standard cabinet rack, and which only took up 1.5U of the space. It could support horizontal (19-inch standard only) and vertical (parallel to the pillars of the cabinet) mounting. It was also suitable for multiple mounting patterns in other places.

Convenient and reliable installation

19-inch standardized design, easy to install. In minimal, only two screws are needed to fix the PDU firmly. The PDU product can be installed 180 degrees according to the user’s needs; With special L-shaped bending plate, the PDU product can be adjusted to 90 degrees for installation.

Multiple circuit protection function

Lightning and surge protection, Maximum shock current: 20KA or higher, Limited voltage < 500V or lower.

Can be used as fine surge protection on equipment.

Passed professional test by National Technical Test Center.

This new high-ampere PDU gives users great flexibility to place module units in different positions of the bracket without worrying about sacrificing valuable rack space.

Difference between PDU and ordinary power strip

The advantages of PDU are as follows: More reasonable design arrangement, stricter quality standard, longer working time without failure, leakage or over-current, and overload protection are more excellent. It has the advantages of frequent hot pluggable, less heating, more flexible and convenient installation, suitable for the industry customers who have strict requirements on power consumption. It also fundamentally eliminates the frequent power failure, burning, fire and other security risks caused by poor contact and small load of ordinary power supply.
